Millet magic is located in Anna nagar and this place serves some great millet foods which has lots of health benefits like helping in weight loss & digestion, prevents asthma, boosts immunity and keeps blood sugar level low. We tried few of their dishes which tasted exactly like normal food but it was made in through millet.
Millet magic is a small place which can accompany around 8-10 customers and is located near a supermarket in Anna nagar, and they serve great millet foods which are equal in taste to the actual food but are healthy as well. Millets are important crops in the semiarid tropics of Asia and Africa (especially in India, Mali, Nigeria, and Niger), with 97% of millet production in developing countries. The crop is favoured due to its productivity and short growing season under dry, high-temperature conditions.
Millet also has various Nutrition benefits 100 gram serving of raw millet provides 378 calories and is a rich source (20% or more of the Daily Value, DV) of protein, dietary fibre, several B vitamins and numerous dietary minerals, especially manganese at 76% DV. Raw millet is 9% water, 73% carbohydrates, 4% fat and 11% protein
Literally everything served here is of millet, and they also have more varieties of dosa and idly compared to normal food outlets, and we happen to try few of them, and we were so surprised on how good and healthy this food was.
Millet Karuvepillai mini idly – ₹85 rupees
We first had the “Panagam” which is made up of jaggery and lime juice, flavoured with cardamom and slightly spiced with a hint of dry ginger and black peppercorns. This jaggery lemonade is a natural coolant for the tropical summers. Then we ordered the karuvepillai mini idly and these are millet mini idly’s and the best part is that they serve three different chutney every single day
The chutney was good enough and the taste of idly just felt like normal idly with some karuvepillai powder but karuvepillai has its own benefits like weight loss, good for eyesight, reduces stress etc but the problem is that I will not visit this place on a normal day and pay ₹85 for a plate of mini idly which can get me 10 full size idly outside. But if I am health conscious this is the place I might visit.

Millet Sambar idly – ₹50 rupees
When we ordered this dish we thought it would be like a normal sambar idly, but we were quite surprised because the millet idly was good and the sambar was damn delicious and to add on one spoon of ghee was added on top of the sambar idly and this costs just ₹50 rupees so overall worth it.

So now to move on to Dosa varieties 🙂
Millet Chettinad mushroom dosa – ₹120 rupees
Normal millet dosa with chettinad style cooked mushroom with various spices felt like having a semi-gravy in my dosa felt damn spicy and it was fantastic. The best part about this dosa was the toppings it gave such an authentic flavour of chettinad style cuisine.
