Ginger resto and cafe is a newly opened restaurant in Tambaram with an Unforgettable ambience and the food served here is delicious and heavenly. The restaurant packs with two types of places to dine in it can be either outside which has a garden like ambience where the place is covered with green sheets for shade from sunlight or else you can visit inside the restaurant which is packed with A/C.
First look at the restaurant gave us a new vibe and entirely different ambience compared to normal restaurants and there is enough car parking as well. The place where the restaurant is located seem like isolated but it is located near the entrance of MCC college so you cannot expect it to be crowded during night but this area is pretty safe.
The ambience inside is so beautiful especially the outdoor space makes it feel so different and the top is covered with green mat makes it a bit cooler and also this space acts as a training ground in the morning as they run a Fitness club and this place is mostly used for that. The main restaurant is located inside which has a small seating ambience with few books for the customers to read.
After Exploring the restaurant we sat down for a good heavy meal and that starting with their soup
Clear Veg Soup – ₹55 rupees
The presentation of the soup was great where they used clay pots and pieces of vegetables were added in the soup and overall it is a great appetizer to begin the feast

Hot Spicy Wings – ₹165 rupees
Next dish can be called as a great started dish which is the Hot spicy wings and if requested they will dip the chicken in extra spicy sauce which makes it even more hot & spicy. The middle one in the platter is fully soaked with extra hot sauce which makes it even more delicious. It felt like the quantity of meat was kinda less for the price but overall you can try this one just for the spicy hot sauce.

Mutton Chukka – ₹195 rupees
Why not order a Mutton starter as well ? So we ordered the Mutton chukka which had a great spicy taste and the meat was so succulent and this is what I recommend if you visit Ginger Resto and Cafe as it was well cooked and the flavour of spiciness was great.

Chicken poricha Parotta – ₹165 rupees
Poricha parotta is famous in Thoothukudi for its unique way of preparation & unlike normal parotta the taste is something delicious and makes you drool. But in Chennai it is kinda rare to find places where they actually serve Poricha parotta and this parotta had a great flavour to it. Especially the gravy here deserves a lot of appreciation it is the one which holds the flavour of the crispy Parotta and if there had been any changes done to the gravy it could pretty much make the dish worse.

Egg Aapam – ₹35 rupees (with Chicken Gravy – ₹165 rupees, Mutton Gravy – ₹195 rupees)
Aapam always goes good with coconut milk but for a change we ordered Chicken & Mutton curry which was delicious but to me personally I loved the chicken curry more than that of mutton and there are varieties and combo where you can get normal aapam as well which costs ₹25 rupees/piece. Overall it was a decent aapam experience.

Vazhai Ezhai Parotta with Chicken Chukka – ₹165 rupees
This can be called as the Iconic and must-try dish of Ginger resto and cafe mainly due to the way this dish is prepared. The parotta was so soft and buttery and you can just swallow the parotta without even chewing it because it was that soft and this dish changed the way a food must be prepared and cooked. Overall this is a must-try dish which will make you remember this moment of where you had the best parotta in your life.

Malt Sprinkle – ₹165 rupees
Ending with some drinks we first ordered the Malt Sprinkle which tasted like Non-alcoholic version of Beer but the price seems to be too much expensive and it costs around ₹165 which is the same price of the above main dishes and if it had been less than ₹80 rupees then it is surely a worthy drink but it just felt like Root beer from Soda hub which costs ₹10 rupees, and they sprinkled some ice on top.
Ratings : 🌟🌟
Brownie Ice-cream with Milkshake – ₹165 rupees
Literally all the desserts from this place costs equal to that of the main dish and this drink was wonderful but I don’t see the point on why they hike the prices for desserts. Desserts are something which completes the meal and for a price like this if they offer something unique and special it might be worth the price but it was just an ordinary drink and for a drink like this I would pay maximum of ₹100 rupees which is reasonable and more customers would tend to buy milkshakes if the prices are less.
Ratings : 🌟🌟🌟 (Good but Expensive)
Place : Ginger Resto and Cafe

That’s it for the review of Ginger resto and cafe, overall this place serves delicious starter and their Parotta & gravy are something which is a must-try but the desserts & milkshakes seems to be expensive if they can balance that it would be really great as customers would tend to order more.
